tank manuvers advice....
so after practicing getting my brake control down pat bout 2 weeks now... i started trying tank wheelies..
first couple i just let the legs dangle, the other times, i actually tried a spreader... all failed attempts to get my legs that far out.
my tank is still minty, but i have some really crazy grip tape on there. it ****s up my shirts and jeans, lol. leaves holes in my t's, but hassnt messed up my jeans beyond a really trendy freyed look.
but anyway my questions are...
1: what are the more comfortable methods you guys use doing tank stunts? does seating position matter that much, sitting closer to the bars, farther back by the seat etc. i have a spare tank, and i was thinking about denting it. do i really need to dent the tank to be successful in those stunts?
2: is it just me not being flexible, or is it just the seating position to properly get my positioning for a descent looking spreader.
(and before anyone says it.... yes the bike is at balance point, not accelerating... i just obviously can't slow it down due to no handbrake. which is a nono but i had to try and see what its all about.)
3: should i hold off on trying highchairs?? cause i was thinking about trying that today too... but i should probably wait till i decide if i am gonna run a handbrake huh?

hand brakes came after highchairs and spreaders but there nice to have and yes the dented tank helps alot with spreaders and the higher your clipons the better also

ok... the clipon thing makes sense to me, because this r6's clip's are hellza low to the tank, so i have to sit back hecka far on the tank.
and the hand brake thing.... yeah, thats what i was thinking... but in this day and age of HB's, i figured someone would chime in with that.
i wan be like how all you guys learned, the older stunters that is. people just thought i put up the old darius footage for a joke, but i was studying that crap. because that was before he had dented tanks and handbrakes.
so any tips on learning that way would help alot. i am seriously trying to learn as safely as possible, so all info will help me out. i would have asked bullo, but i already know what he gonna say

The further back on the tank you can get the lower your BP will be. Denting your tank isnt a must but chances are you are going to come down kinda hard and dent it a bit anyways, so you might as well take that minty tank off and dent your other. You can slow it down and go past BP because you do have a brake available--------> engine brake works just fine for that. Your getting to the point where there is no turning back... meaning: your bike is going to get beat and its going to turn into a bucket of $hit. the only thing you can do now is accept it/protect it keep it maintained.
Things for SYTFU-R6 to do:
1. cage if you dont have one.
2. Gearing + at least 8
3. dent tank
4. Tail protection: round or flat bar
5. FI or F4i clip ons
6. Cut down upper
7. Hand brake

you can do it stock, but alot safer and easier will be turned out clip-ons on top of triple,no upper, dented tank( stand on tank and jump to get cap down then lots of light hammer hits around it,take your time) ,doing a bp spreader on stock gears and no HB is gangster, but looping out one isnt. so I would get a HB. once you get a HB the real fun begins:YEAH

i dont remember if my r6 clipons were on top of the tripple but if they are not then dont put them there it will lower the bike to much ..get some after market ones that sit higher but if they are on top you can flip them that should raise them up alot

Most guys that stunt know a lot of people with F4i's so hit em up for some of their spare clip ons

well i just got in from practicing... here are some visuals of the ****.
here's my dangler...
here's my attempt at a spreader...
should i roll my body back farther, because with the straight up position i am in... that is the farthest i can get my legs out. if i leaned back more, could i get my legs out wider??? because that **** right there... i would just as well not do the ****... it looks GAY!
