Pro or AM, which are you??
10 k up for grabs in pro 1st - 5th, no entry fee
or
various prizes up for grabs in amatuer (helmets, jackets, crash cage, whatever) 1st - 5th $25 entry fee
which would you enter and why, dont forget this includes all of the top name riders
I personally would rather be a top 5 amatuer, than be 15-20th place in pro.. you would go home with something and you would get recognition in the magazines and stuff
and if you dont know whether you are pro or amatuer, then that means you are amatuer

......I'd say I'm amateur, but I'd like to be able to compete against the big dogs.

when i read this i was thinkin the same about myself...
I have a much better chance of Top 5 in Am, but would like to compete in Pro... competing agaisnt better riders is how you improve yourself...
I disagree with you on one thing though... if you are ABLE to compete on the pro level, then you should!!! there is more repsect in placing top 20 in Pro than sandbagging and getting top 5 in Am!!!
what do you think guy?
and yeah, what do you have in the works???

That is one thing to think about. Would your status be based upon your skill level, fame level....what??
Teach is right though too....prize money is a big thing when your traveling.

what gives someone PRO skills... some hard tricks?!?! does that make you a pro cause you can do some hard stunts!??!?!
Or does your execution count... does how well you link your tricks count... how about how well you present yourself?... or how you play to a crowd??(two riders with similar skills can DEFINATELY still be in different leagues based on HOW they ride!!!
there is a LOT more that goes into being a "PRO" than the tricks you can do!!!

Good point.
It would be nice to get a collaborated effort to bring back something like XSBA that layed out rules/regulations and could determine a professional rider and an amateur rider.
