"What should be done to a 636" Thread
I know there are many of these but none are 2003-04 636 general what to do threads. They are all about the air box mod. I was just looking for what should or needs to be done as far as reinforcements go. Or what I should expect from the motor life, Clutches, Frames, and the overall bike in general.
Thanks for everyone’s time,

I'd hit up Joe Dryden
Lot of people bend their frames from what I've seen on here.
Never heard of a problem with clutchs
motors seem solid enough
Problems I've heard are resets and fairing stay, fragile bits, and fairings.

What you do is..... sell it and get another F4i, and you're set

k
rearsets
either cut them down an inch so you feet still grip them fine and in event of crash they COMPLETELY clear the ground. BAM rearset prob solved
subframe
take 1/8 aluminum plates (4 of them) and have a welder weld them in with 2 plate close to the tank...then the otehr two plates behind the battery... youre good
engine
obvious airbox mod
also DB bars...no gauge cluster...and cit sides are in order young one.

As for the 636 I've had no probs with my sub and I've gorilla scraped it really hard a couple times. My last frame cracked at the front motormount welds so depending on how many hard drops you have but I had a 905 cage too so I dunno if that helped or not.. I didn't even have that many hard drops.
Yeah the engine needs the airbox mod. Which I need to do
Yeah I'd recommend switch to some woodcraft rearsets or cut your pegs down.
Stock fairing stay is plastic so that will need to be replaced
