Woodcraft clipons on a 929 ?????
Does anyone on here stunt a 929 with full fairing and use aftermarket clipons ?? if so, how? because I got my Woodcrafts in today and my intention was to flip and turn them out a bit. Here's the problem, the stock clipons are under the top triple and has a riser that brings the bar up 3 inches or so. Now taking them off and replacing them with aftermarket ones that do not have that riser on them, makes them to low to even ride. The only other way is to lower top triple on the forks and put the Woodcrafts on top which would end up lowering the front of the bike about an inch and a half. Is that going to mess with the handling of the bike for stoppies and **** ? is there any better way to do it ?

Re: Woodcraft clipons on a 929 ?????
it will make BP alittle higher in stoppies and you only have to lower it about 3/4's the clamp, the whole clip-on doesn't have to be flush, it wont look as pretty as being flush but will hold just fine being 3/4's clamped on
ps: make sure u use a dial caliper and have the same amount of fork tube coming out of the top bridge, 1 to 2 mm's can screw up susspension.

Someone posted somthing before about useing 05-06 636 clipons flipped and turned out. He said they worked great. I'm gunna get me some off ebay as soon as I have the money. He also said that there is more room on them for a HB.

Heli-bars. They mount under the triple like stock and are fully rotational(no locating pin),and are about 1.0 higher and 1.0 wider also.
Not trying to say to run them.I have never used them.Im just giving my 2cents.

They are the sh*t... more room for handbrake and very comfortable when turned out.
Good thing about them is they don't snap off like cast, stock clip ons... they bend and can be bent back a couple times.
Only bad part is they are very expensive... $240. Here's the best shot I have of them...

On my full fairing 929 I have Vortex (old style) set up by the book, under the tripple and not flipped. They are cool for ridin around, but pretty low. Also they make the switches hit the ram air covers.
On my full fairing F4i with 929 front end, I have Woodcraft flipped but still under the tripple. I love this set-up. With the windscreen cut down to just above the 905 upper fairing stay I can pull in and out of HC most of the time. It's a little cramped but I'm 6'2'' 205.

I'd compare the heli bar setup on the 929 front end to a stock f4i clip on setup on top of the triple, turned out, but a bit wider and a little closer... which is cool if you run full fairing cause you can turn out the bars more w/out hitting the upper.
I just went back to a stock f4i front end/clip ons and full fairing so I'm missin the heli bar setup a little bit. Got a set of FI 0 degree's on the way though.
