AL if you are going to the dark side get Renthal Ultra Low road bars, they feel kinda like clip ons but higher and nicer angle.

Personally I find them so much better helped my confidence loads. They dont make it easier I don't think, but I just much prefer the more upright position it makes me more comfy thus makes me ride better. each to their own though.

here is mine with ultra low rentals.

Hi, just drilled it, put washers underneath the clamps (altho theres a minor problem with the left one that I won't go into ) it holds up fine, I don't see the problem.. if it snaps then I'll just get another yoke but if you have a welder or easy access to it then it can't do any harm really...

Why are you running out of room? only need hb, clutch, grip?? take the left side controls off and tie them to the top yoke.. i can fit my hb etc on with the controls still on with db bars bit more room, but not much.

It's not hard to keep the plastics.. if you leave upper fairing on then you need to trim the screen down a bit and the upper bit of the fairing where the mirrors mount so the bars clear it, but it looks stupidly gay

Or you can leave the side fairings on for a semi-faired look.. I had this originally but I'm pushing harder now and want to learn stuff quicker so taken fairings off for damage limitation

Personally I don't like the naked look too much, I prefer full fairings, but I wanted to try the bars out and now I love them and don't care what it looks like :YEAH

well my ride is my only transport so if i took the horn/pass/hi/low off the bar for ridding in the city
wouldent be long before i was flying across some blind persons hood/bonet
so my mision is to try and keep the fairings without cutting too much off
but not look gay ?

Re: DB bars vs 0 degree bars

K in that case try db bars.. I'm pretty sure I can get grip, controls, hb and clutch all on togheter, no way at all of getting that lot on a standard bar.. maybe on the FI ones I don't know?
