I know this was stupid but I wanted to share it with everyone just in case you get the bright idea to do it..... DON'T!!!

I took my 905 cage off so I could paint it and while the paint was drying I decided to go for a little spin in front of the house

Well I did a few slides into small drifts, that was fine and dandy.

Then I decided I would get a 12 in real quick before the neighbors called the cops :YEAH I thought.

Well I popped it up with a little speed already and bam! It was like I hit the rev limiter and popped the clutch!!

The dam thing shot out from under me and I know for a fact I was turning the throttle off and hitting the brake but it was too much. It cought my walet in the seat and drug my *** down the road with it before ripping the subframe off.

ROAD RASH ON YOUR *** HURTS!!!!!!

After I jumped up and looked around to see if anybody saw it, I picked the bike up and pushed it back to the carport.

Well it turns out, when I loaded the motor it shifted up in the mounts and hung on the frame and pushed the throttle even more.

So hope this story makes you laugh, but mainly just wanted to spread the consiquences for my stupidy before someone else does it.

that exact same thing happend to me but it was because of a bound up throttle cable. dead stop, clutched it and it started bouncing off the rev limiter...boucning off the tail down the spot until it finally fell over and died. i ghouth for sure my **** blew up. got most of it on vid and its funny.

OT: brian you got that 929 form that salvage dealer up in wisconsin didnt you? that **** was clean and they only want like $4k for it. in Neenah right?:YEAH

Naw, I picked up from a dealer I was working at up here ($5g's). It was Blk/Ylw w/ mint plastics. But I traded a guy my plastics for his tank, tail, and fender plus a G-note. Think I got a good deal??? :YEAH

Well it ripped the subframe off and bent the tank worse. It looks like I'll just have to get another sub to be back on the road. Oh and a rearset... again

so you didn't have the motor bolted in and that's how it shifted?

what happened to your clutch? you didn't mention it anywhere, easy save by grabbing the clutch.

I wasn't there but I am going to venture a guess that he didn't touch the clutch.

Yeah just too late. After thoughts... Hell I didn't even have time to get my feet down it was so quick! I had just enough time to notice that I was letting off the gas and it was wasn't letting up even with the brake on. You know how when you pop it up and let off just as you get Bp? That's where it was the strongest
