Anyone flip there 929 clip ons

I was just wondering if anyone has flipped there stock 929 clip ons. Put the right clip on on the left side and the left one on the right. After seeing the T-ice set up it got me thinking...

Would it be a better set up to swith and flip the stock clip ons???

FYI- Full Fairing

Re: Anyone flip there 929 clip ons

I did it, and they felt too low (i like em low, but not that low)

then i tried them over the triple, and flipped - felt real comfortable but lost some "bite" for stoppies

Now i got vortex which i plan to run flipped, under the triple. bike is currently in impound so i have no feedback yet.

Sorry about the impo, I have vortex and tried to flip them, there is a weird angle, you might not like it, I changed mine back .

Re: Anyone flip there 929 clip ons

I am running mine flipped and switched. They are turned out more than stock but not to the point of zero degree with the tripple. Kinda half way.. like DB bars, but I am also SF and I love it. I had them turned out before and it was too akward, but fliped and turned out is great. Just try different positions and see what works for you.. thats how I found where I am now.

Re: Anyone flip there 929 clip ons

I have the Vortex setup but I left it off after riding Tice's bike. His setup is sweet but the 929/954 front end feels awesome to me in stock form and you can still do everything with it. The only thing I see being harder would be podium circles but there are ppl doin em.

Re: Anyone flip there 929 clip ons

If I raise the forks in the tripple to run clip ons on top, I dont want to ruin my stoppie game!!!! I need some imput from T-ice... Why is he running that Vortex upper tripple?

Because the clip ons mount on top I think. His looked super clean though.

Re: Anyone flip there 929 clip ons

When you run clip-ons on top of the triple it lowers the front of the bike. Not much, but it makes the BP for stoppies a lil higher than normal.

Do the simple math to anyone who doesn't believe me........

cause im a gangster........................no i actually screwed up and ordered it wrong at werk,www.HAIbikeshop.com for those of you that don't know, so i decided that it would look really sweet on my bike, i actually almost took it off had it not been for my lazyness, it was causing my friend end to come loose and chatter which was happening aboot every other day.........but now it seems to not loosen up the front......i was nervouse aboot the set up cause it was my first non clip ons, but overall i like them, and i keep them turned in more so i can still run my upper.......i like it a lot and wished i woulda done it earlier.......stoppies are coming back to me, ive never been much of a distance roller, more of a short approach type of guy, and i am feeling pretty confident on them now and rolling 250-300 on them no problem........
