I donno if this happens with anyone else, i think its just in my mind. But I can ride better wheelies without my jacket. Anyone else stunt better with/without certain gear?

i use to be able to combo better w/o a jacket for obv reasons.
i've only been out a handfull of times this year and have worn all my gear because i'm sloppy as hell after a year off...
one thing i can't do is ride without gloves...i don't know how people do it....

It's all mental and what you are used to.. When I first started I couldn't do crap without a jacket on. I was so used to riding in it. After a few sweaty days I started wearing long sleaves and finally progressed to where it doesn't bother me No-shirt to jacket it's all good.

Yeah, I always wear a helmet and gloves, and try to wear a hoodie and long sleeve shirt to layer up(I know the road will burn thru, but it helps my mindset).
When I put on my jacket though, I feel bogged down and restricted, guess I just need to break it in more.
To be honest I hate it, I would love to wear my jacket all the time, I know eventually it will come in handy. Just need to get used to it I guess.

I seem to do better w/o a helmet. Gloves are a must. and 4 some reason i like elbow pads way better than a jacket, especially in the summer. but i heard a baggy leather works better.

Helmet and long sleeve shirt. I got summer bumps on my arms so long sleeve shirt a must.
I hate gloves and jacket. I feel restricted. I rode without a shirt for a while, but road rocks hurt a lot more that way.

Re: Gear affects wheelie?
I always wear #1 helmet, #2 jacket, #3 gloves but it's easier without #2 and especially #3...I somehow have better throttle control without gloves, but wouldn't like to leave skin on the pavement so I wear them...Helmet is a must have and I feel unsafe without it, but it doesn't mean I can't pull **** off without one...conclusion - gloves kill the feeling, just like condoms...but it's not smart to ride without them...lol
