Cage Sliders?

So i have been seeing more and more stunters with sliders on their cages...cool, i got some sliders i can throw on my cage, why not.

my question, however, is i have seen some guys with sliders that are on a spring system, so when the bike falls, the sliders can slide into the cage before getting ground down, and then when you pick the bike out, the sliders pop right back out.

i can fab a spring set up easy enough, but i dont want to spend the time fabbing up the spring system if it doesnt do ne thing....anyone?

Re: Cage Sliders?

i make all my cages with slider inserts,it saves wear and tear on the tubes as well as softens the first blow, infact i have patent pending on the quik realese cage which allows you to pop off the main cage in under a minute, leaving the cage mount itself still fully bolted to the bike, then you take the extra delrin i provide with each cage pop it in the mount holes and you got the worlds strongest slider.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,

my web host vanished so if anyone can host my site please lemme know, lol
www.nwstuntbike.com so for now i'm back to myspace/nwstuntbike,

Re: Cage Sliders?

im not talking about cage sliders, though, folks. i mean cage sliders that have a spring within the cage so the slider can move in and out....whats the point? does it help?

Re: Cage Sliders?

first, please post mor pics of the cage, this time closer up!!!! We are all interested!!

to answer the question of the post i think they are junk. The only cage i know that has these are the stuntaid from ebay. every thread i read on here about those cages gives them bad reviews. The concept seems good, but i think maybe the cage and design is bad. Try it on yours if you can fab and then post up. I have a 9 too so im interested!!

Re: Cage Sliders?

It looks like he is just showing the mounts without the whole cage on. Look at the maintenence cover. There are 2 little round spots where I believe the cage mounts. Looks like a great idea. Let me know if one gets designed for the f4i. email me at nappy@cycoward.com
