Stunting a ZX-6RR...

Anyone out there stuntin one? I'm looking at an 03. Are all the parts interchangeable with the 636? Does it have the problem with oil in the air box? How are they to stunt? From what I understand they have an extra pivot in the swingarm and are a little longer than the 636.

Only differences are its 599cc not 636cc, it has a slipper clutch, adjustable swing arm piviot, and a post mount already welded to the frame for a side mount dampner.....Its got alot less torque then the 636 but once its in the air with gearing its all the same for stunting, and all the parts are interchangeable.....

^ What he said.

I think Kane's bike is a ZX6RR. Most everything on it is interchangeable with the 636.

Re: Stunting a ZX-6RR...

my stuntbike is a ZX-6RR, my streeter is a 636... all parts are interchangable... if you blow the motor and have to swap it and all you can find is a 636 motor you will have to swap the ecu and stuff too...

RR has a TINY bit less torque but other than that you cant tell them apart while riding them!

Re: Stunting a ZX-6RR...

I have an 03 zx6rr and am on my 4th zx6rr motor. they are great bikes but are leaky *****es. they have a slightly higher comp ratio and a redline of like 200 higher. i dunno about the 636 but all 4 motors ive had on this bike are all leaky... high RPMS = oil everywhere and they overheat quickly too..

otherwise i love it, great bike

Re: Stunting a ZX-6RR...

whats the deal with the oil leaking? Do they have the same problem as the 636 where you cant leave it on the bar?

Re: Stunting a ZX-6RR...

not even the bar, revlimiter burnouts, or just high rpm high wheelies will do it too

FOUR motors?!?! WTF have you been doing to the poor things??!?!

I ride the crap out of mine, parking lots, street, everything and im still on my same two OG motors that came in my bikes. That's over a year of stunting on BOTH of them and they both still run strong. I dont have any leaky problems either but i dont do bar tricks. ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?

Re: Stunting a ZX-6RR...

my buddy works for kawasaki (i have 636) he tells me to plug the air box (as its only a clean air system)and run the breather tube to a homemade collector bottle then i guess you would have to empty it every now and then..... (i just dont do any rev limiter on the bar cos its oil in the ports time) but i might try this mod!

i very heavy person 252lbs and my 636 is breaking up cos im not that good my front wheel looks like a hexagon ha ha from stallin circles atttempts

maybe i should have gone f4easy

Post Re: Stunting a ZX-6RR...

Since this seems like a 636 info thread I though I might ask what are the weak areas on the ZX6'S. I am looking for certain spots on the frame, forks, swing arm areas like that. Just curious.
