Well I've heard people talkin about the idle mod for the 929 and that there is a post somewhere on here about it. The damn search isnt workin worth a **** so i thought i'd put the flame suit on and see if anyone happens to know where that post is...thanks

 

I have same problem IDLE PROBLEMS and tried searching for idle mod and NOTHING. My 929 will not idle high. well it will up untill i put the bike in gear and then it drops again. Please help us both out
Also got 929 frame and title for sale for 1000 clean clear

 

not really on the subject, but does anybody want a repair manual for the929/954.... and buy the way i just cut the cables at the exhaust and made shur the valve was all the way open,, it never shut.... but i used to mess with my friends and move the valve to the other postion when thay rode it....

 

I think its exactly like the F4i idle mod.. its a sticky in the help section.

 

that is a hit or miss. i had 2 929's...i tried every single mod anyone has mentioned. I'm a race mechanic so i tore the bikes down and did everything. neither of mine would idle over 2500 and stay that high. i just had to learn to rock 2500 or lower.

and taking the exhaust valve out and flapper valve in the airbox out made it worse on my yellow 929.

u can try them all, but i think it's a hit or miss thing because i've heard of some working fine, but i tried everything those people did to theirs to both of mine and it didn't change it one bit.
