Brembo HB ,placement..

I have a Brembo HB , ive been using w/ a gptech fitting it works great. The only thing is the placement ,no matter were I place it or reposition it I cant set it up so that my clutch lever is close to it. The HB master res. gets in the way I have stock clipons w/ the clutch mounted to the right. If I stretch my fingers just right I can pull in the clutch while pullin in the brake. I want it so I can 1 finger HB / 1 finger clutch it has anyone used this type of brembo HB and had this problem with the placement?

Re: Brembo HB ,placement..

i have the same setup on my 636 and with the stock clip-on's you can't hardly adjust the positioning, it sucks!! i'm going to order some vortex bars so i can have more to work with and buy a different resivor like nags was talkin about, and start over again, i'm gettin another dual caliper bracket to go with it.

Re: Brembo HB ,placement..

Companies that sell those FOR handbrakes should really knock it off.

At this point in the evolution of handbrakes its common knowledge that those things are only good for taking newbs money.

Re: Brembo HB ,placement..

so you saying that a old 900rr master and lever ran upside down better than a aftermarket handbrake master made for left side?

yea luckily i was broke when i first wanted a handbrake because i figured if its a kit thats meant to work together it must be better that a flipped front master. thankfully those days are over

Re: Brembo HB ,placement..

Damn it! and im not even a newb , a few people had said it would work better. It works great if I reach down for it every time I clutch it up , but I needto 1 finger Hb /clutch , back to the drawing board ,,I might try the vortec cipons . So the brembo 16x18 obviously has a remote resivior ,right?
