Front brakes!!!!!!Question

On my 636 I cannot get the brakes to bleed. Gets a little pressure, no more.
I got a right side caliper flipped upside down, for the left caliper. Would that not let it bleed and get pressure?
And does it matter what line goes in 1st to the right caliper?

Power bled them and can't get nuthin

Re: Front brakes!!!!!!Question

the upside caliper might be a good reason and if theres air in the master cyclinder i would check that but def. the upside down one

dam ryan strait getto there. flip it up rite side up bleed them. also is the master you have radial or not if not. ther could be air in your master non radials are hard to bleed.

No, its a stock 636 front master, but which line goes into the caliper 1st? off of the master

Who needs calipers? Just use your fingers to pinch the caliper to endo.

Re: Front brakes!!!!!!Question

You sure the master is good? Last few times I couldn't build any pressure it ended up being a bad master

I pretty sure its good, cause it would blow fluid out hard where the line goes into the master. But I think flippin the caliper idea should work, its prolly got a ton of air sittin in it upside down. Thank Debo.

Re: Front brakes!!!!!!Question

unbolt the calipers from the forks, and hold them up higher than the master. also, hold them so the bleeder is the highest point in the system

Re: Front brakes!!!!!!Question

How are you going to pump the master with the calipers off the forks?

Re: Front brakes!!!!!!Question

The reason the calipers are different each side is so the bleeder is up top, this lets the air rise and then makes it easy to come out when you bleed. Flipping it upside down puts the air at the bottom and makes it hard to get out. I would try flipping it and then bleeding it.

+1 we had the same problem on josh millers jeep, he put the calipers in backwards and the bleeders were at the bottom, you should just need to flip it over so the bleeder is up top and get all the air out then it should be fine when u bolt it back up upside down.

OT- are you riding at doghouse for bike week?
