i have went through 3 ram air intakes on my 05 ninja soes anyone know if any company makes soemhting better than the stock shitty plastic granted i do bring it down hard once in a whiel but usually smooth but the occasional hard boucne to the ground just shatters the plastic where it bolts to the frame any ideas?

i would take a look at what fiberglass cheetah has to offer.
many people swear by carbon fiber, but i think its garbage and cracks just as easily as cheap plastic.

 

racing905 has an ram air stays. Works great on my 03. Not positive about the 05 design though

 

i've beat mine into the dirt and it's still runnin like a champ :YEAH

I should have had one made for that bike by now but no one seems to want to lend me their 05+ so I can design one.....Ive made one for the 03-40 636 and F4i and they work and fit perfect, my friend is still crash testing the F4i one but so far its working great just like the 636 ones.

ya the kawi upper stay/ram air thingy breaks if you look at it wrong......so does the gsxr upper stay, that things brittle as hell

 

Thanks but they work even better than they look, with my stays you can lift up the whole bike from the headlight/upper and not break anything. I design them to bolt up to the headlight and support them very strongly, that is the key to a strong stay....Anything using only the OEM mounts is garbage and not taking care of the true problem...That F4i doesnt even have any OEM tabs left(all broke off) but as you can see everthing still mounts perfect with my stay and is very stable.

There are some products on the market that are better then stock but not as good as they should be for what their charging..
