Re: 600rr fan hot-wiring

I think it was in the thread about how to "beat the heat" or keep your bike cool". Some one said they did that and filled it up with liquid ice or something like that.

Re: 600rr fan hot-wiring

I think I know what's your fix open up your fuse box and pull out the fan fuse make a jumper wire (speaker wire works fine) instead of having your fuse you will have a jumper wire so when your ignition is on your fan will be running.

theres a way to actaully hook it up so its just running all the time, and if theres an actuall issue, you still have the fuse.... its there for a reason

Re: 600rr fan hot-wiring

I found that filling with only engine Ice and disconnecting the thermostat will work.

Re: 600rr fan hot-wiring

I'm not sure just posting what other people are saying works
to disconnect the thermostat you pull the sensor wires out

Re: 600rr fan hot-wiring

just run your own switched wire to the fan, and leave the stock wire attached that way it will turn on if you forget it. or buy a extra fan and use two . i use 2 fans it works great

Re: 600rr fan hot-wiring

Maybe if you know a stunter who rides a ZX-10 I say that because the ZX-10fan is built the same as the 600rr the fan turn on built into the fans wiring unlike the F4i which has a separate ground wire that goes to a radiator sensor.

For now you might just want to pull out the fan fuse and use a jump wire it worked like a champ for me when I was running a ZX-10 fan because my F4i fan motor took a sh@t.

Re: 600rr fan hot-wiring

figure out which wire is the constant to the fan and which is the wire that breaks continuity to the fan using a continuity tester, when you figure that out just toggle the wire and flip the switch when you want to have it running, also maybe pm wheeliest he seems to be real knowledgable, helped me a bunch with my 600rr

Re: 600rr fan hot-wiring

wiring the fan on all the time isn't going to help, your fan has already been running non stop far before the engine overheats.

Re: 600rr fan hot-wiring

just wire it to the battery with a switch attached so you can turn it on and off when you want. You could be real gangsta and use a light switch like in a house....
