Congrats on the record Kane, and also for pushing this sport further into the limelight.

Yes if (and when) someone beats it ill be happy to go at it again. They actually cut me off short after i broke the set record for the show (135). I think i could have mustered another 5-10mph out of it. I actually am anxious for someone to beat it. i think our sport needs some more records to be pushed. its fun. just make sure ya got a radar gun!!
My only complaint with the show was also that they didnt show the final complete stoppie, nor did they do a very good job of really emphasizing the SPEED. most of those camera angles were filmed on the practice day prior at only around 50-60mph
as far as ppl saying anyone can do it. yes im sure anyone can.. but i did.
fact is.. its easy to say oh ya i could do that, but when the RADAR gun comes out.. no more bullshit...

I was traveling an "indicated" 170mph on a stock geared 06zx10r in 6th gear when i applied the brakes... thats a whole lot different than 104mph. i think youd be surprised how much speed u lose almost instantly before the back tire even comes off the ground... that to me was one of the hardest parts of the stunt. cutting that speed loss down as much as possible. not to mention u must roll it to a stop from that speed.
I was limited also by the length of the runway... flat out.. just wasnt long enough to get that stock geared bike up to speed in time. had vortex sent me the right sprockets, (i wanted 1 down 2 up) i think that would have helped out a lot also...
also i did have stock brake lines too...
not to mention had only been riding the bike for all of 3 days prior. bike only had 600miles on it at the time of the stunt. i feel a whole lot more confident on it now.. after a few weeks of riding her, and over 1000 more miles...
either way i had an amazing time doing it, and really feel blessed that i was even approached and asked to be involved. one of the greatest experiences riding has ever presented to me, yet. I love this sport. thanks again to everyone for the positive feedback!!

Re: Today is the day... ATTN:
Kane seriosuly advanced your sport. I like it that he mentioned wanting to find a way to take his stunting off the streets. In a subtle way it sheds some light on the fact that you guys don't have many options when it comes to practicing your craft.
It is a step in the right direction. Most people don't have a clue how much effort and heart goes into perfecting a stunt, they just see people killing the streets and come to uneducated conclusions.

Re: Today is the day... ATTN:
You have to understand stunters are a ego driven bunch {myself as well} and most don't like to see someone do good cuz we all think we are better then the one or few guys at the top of the heap, so to show how good we THINK we are we talk **** about the stuff others do, once we can stop doing this this sport will start to grow!!!!

Re: Today is the day... ATTN:
what's all the **** talking about? Everyone thinks they're pullin em up fast until the radar gun comes out. I've seen it before. 100 really means 50. 150 really means 75. 900ft really means 400 from a 600ft approach
Congrats Kane I thought it was sick. Keep the hata blockas on!:YEAH
btw I could roll 20000ft from 230mph with my 20+ 636

It was sort of like watching an FMX guy go off a ramp to do some outlandish backflip, then cut to him landing.
A bit odd.
