So last friday i was out trying to do a 12 scraper, i have put it down a couple of times, but still practicing, but this to,e way to much gas, and to much clutch, and i destroyed my home made 12 bar, i thought it was strong enough. my engine cage held up well, but this is the first big hit its taken, everything else has gone smooth up to this point. oh well, i got some nice rash, and a bike to fix, i'll be back out.

how fast were you going?

try riding a balanced wheelie, then bringing it a little past balance and pullin the clutch in to hit the bar.... you dont want to be gasing it on cuase thats when **** gets out of control....

how'd ur subframe do? was it just the 12 bar that took the beatin?

Get the correct twelve bar. it would save you alot of money on having to replace the tail and subframe. I would know. I tried to go the cheap route like you. Not cool..lol

 

TRUST ME.... run a bar back from both the upper and lower subframe bars meet them at the bar, it'll be ****

 

+ 1 my bud has a subframe cracked in 2 places now....

my f2 has a home made kit too just make it as solid as possible use a solid bar

 

i had to bar mine...once my f2 sub was getting bent, haha

sux, dude. i was thinking about making a homemade 12 bar but not after seeing this. how fast were u going?? hope the rash heals up quick and that ur back at it soon. tatt artist looks like he did a pretty tight job too... but spell out the first two symbols and it looks like HIV. aint feeling that.
