Re: buying a bike of e bay?

I was looking too but I don't want to pay the shipping costs and it seems like a pain to get it shipped

Re: buying a bike of e bay?

i had my '01 f4i shipped from benton harbor michigan to spokane washington for only 400 bucks. ebay quoted it at 1600 bucks. dont go with ebays shipping quotes. find your own shipping place. id have to look up the place i went with but they only ship bikes. i will look it up if someone wants it. it was very easy i just paid the guy when he got to my house.

Re: buying a bike of e bay?

if your looking to buy a bike on ebay do A LOT of homework. ask for VIN number, ask the seller to take extra pics of the bike, preferably with them on the bike, ask to speak to them on their phone, and before u send any $$, ask them to fax u over a copy of the title and their driver's license, even if it means having their street addy blackened off but make sure the city and state match what they say. it sounds like a lot of bother but when thousands of dollars are at stake, it's worth it, man. and under any circumstances, dont fall for that, "I'm out of the country right now but i'll have a friend ship you the bike after u've sent the money" scam. dont buy anything out of country.

There are a lot of good deals on there.

Just remember that if it sounds too good to be true....It probably is.

Re: buying a bike of e bay?

got my 05 gixxer 750 on ebay. everything went great and got a great deal. your best bet is to search for bikes within the distance that you would be willing to go pick it up. that way you can ride it and look it over good before you hand over the cash. i had to drive about 5 hrs. to get it but it was well worth it imo considering the cash i saved.

ps- take a gun

Re: buying a bike of e bay?

I sold a yzf 750 on ebay... it went well... as long as the seller doesn't make ant weird requests ( IE - contact me outside of ebay and the like) you'll be fine- and NO western union...
