Raptor vs Moose

I bought a moose EZ-Pull clutch assembly the other week and when I installed it I stripped out the the mount. I wasn't too impressed so I looked around on here and noticed that the msr raptor was supposed to be a good one too, so I ordered one up. I get it in the mail today and I'm all excited, then I notice that its the same damned thing as the moose . Granted, some details are a bit different but it is the same thing. And by the same I mean, when the perches roll down the assembly line one goes into a moose box and one goes into an msr box. Kind of made me laugh a bit. The only real difference is the actual lever and the rubbery, plasticy thing that has the logo on it. The MSR also has three adjustment holes to the moose's two.

I think the mounts on a large batch of the msr's where bad from the factory ,we got 3 of them that the back bolt striped out as soon as you put the screw in

You could always drill out the threads and use a larger dia bolt or a longer bolt with a nut on the other side

Re: Raptor vs Moose

When I have my stunt stay business up and running smoothly, I think Im going to try and produce an EZ pull clutch lever and perch made of Billet 6061 instead of recycled pop cans.....One that replaces the HB master cylinders end cap so it kinda goes onto of the master not beside it....

Re: Raptor vs Moose

The pro raptors and the moose easy pull are the exact same thing, exept the lever. same box, same little rubber cover with different logos. I have an original raptor, still works fine. the adjuster strips on them easily, i am going to get a pro raptor. never really had any problems with them.

Yeah, thats what I plan on doing. I'm not eve going to mess with the stuff that came with it, just put my own bolts and nuts on it. When I kind of had the moose on on there it worked great so now I'm pumped just to have an EZ pull on there.

that took me a minute to figure out exactly what you're talking about, sounds like a really good idea.

you don't have to pull it any further...it's all about the angle of the cable...

i have mine setup to release right at the top of the perch.
