Crazy Laser bike
OK so I put my radar detector on my bike. Its wired where the wires come off of the harness and are screwed to the back of the gauge set. I have the wires screwed in with the luight wires. I believe its the lights. cuz it comes on when the bike is turned on but not running. hmm... but now when I rev it to 6K it sets off the laser on the radar/laser detector, even when im on the highway. I have it wired to the gauge lights on the bike so when I turn the key on it turns on the radar detector. I held it in my hand so its not the vibration. At least I don't think so. Anyone know what the prob could be?
Background. Bike is a 97 Yamaha FZR 600, Radar/Laser detector is an Escort Passport 8500. My passport 8500 X50 is in the mail

Dont forget an inline fuse if you go direct off the battery..Oh and make sure that fuse is as close to the battery terminal as possible..

try plugging it into a car, and rev the bike right next to it. That would tell you if the power source has anything to do with it.
