I'll see if any of my suppliers have the solid tubing; Otherwise has anyone had luck with the Woodcraft or Driven replacement bars?

Ive ordered from this guy twice already. Both times took about a week to get to me. 8 feet of tubing which is basically 8 tubes for $32. 8 tubes would normally cost $120 @ $15 each plus shipping so its a no brainer

Re: Need good replacement clip-on bars?

Plus 1 nice find. Just stumbled on this old thread. I feel the same way johnny p does. I got the fI's but bend the **** out of one tube almost every session.

I don't mind replacing them i just am not down the prices they charge for replacements. last summer I found a bunch of metal places online that had some straight prices also just google search them.

I think the ebay link posted above is a great price.

Your local steel yard will have that in stock. Most every town/city has one. You need .875 od .125 id aluminum tubing. Buy it in 6-8 foot sections. should only be a few dollars. Just cut them off with a hacksaw if need be.

Re: Need good replacement clip-on bars?

the best place to check is a place that makes ornamental handrails and they will most likely have it right there or can order it. Or check DOM steel or aluminum tube they use OD dimensions 7/8 should be easy to find. Hell if enough people on hear want some i can most likely get it in steel or aluminum and just cut a bunch of pieces and sell them cheep

I tried that and they had 7/8" aluminum tubing but the wall thickness was too small. Last thing i want is bars snapping in an endo or steel bars breaking clamps.

Were you talking about Yarde Metals in Bristol? I hope it wasn't them that gave you a hard time. My friend owns a company in Bridgeport and he can get material at cost and shipped to him free. Let me know.
