am i going to have to....
i have a 97 F3, currently running the stock exhaust. i am going to make it a shorty and just cut and reweld the cap back on just after the passenger peg mount. will i have to RE-JET the bike after i make this mod? and how much louder will it be? compared to say an aftermarket slip-on.

Re: am i going to have to....
its going to be just as loud but i would add a k-n filter and a jet kit to any carburated bike with exhuast mods bc ur reducing back pressure on the motor so , more exhuast flow = u need more air and fuel flow good luck

Pick up a jet kit for cheap, and if you dont know how to install yourself then just take it to the local shop. It wouldn't be very expensive at all! Definitely would be a good mod if you change the stock exhaust specs.

Re: am i going to have to....
if its a stunt piece i woulnt bother putting a filter in it. honda ones are really good. you may need to jet it, you may not.... only well to tell is if you do it and it starts running like crap. and for the most part, shorty pipes are a little louder than stock but alot quiter than aftermarket pipes.
