Stuntin in the rain...

So does anyone stunt in the rain. I'm talkin slow, parking lot stuff. I have only just started startin and love to practice, but everyday I get off work, it's freakin raining. It's beautiful all day until I get home. Yesterday I almost said F*ck and went and practiced in the rain anyway.
Damn New Orleans weather...

So does anyone stunt in the rain?

Re: Stuntin in the rain...

Its tough in the rain especially sloooow stuff, when you clutch it up your tire will spin and its tough to get traction. I would recomend low air, but I hear you on the weather thing, Pittsburgh sucks!!!

It's doable, you can execute the tricks pretty much the same, but a few weeks ago it was sprinkleing the ground was almost completely wet.. I came out of a SS circle a little funny and hopped off and brought the bike down.. As soon as my feet hit the ground I slipped a little and almost busted my *ss..

I see slipping on the ground pegs seat whatever your feet is on if wet... Doesn't sound like a good idea..

Re: Stuntin in the rain...

Hell ya **** is fun. Just be careful on your pegs. My foot slipped off my rear peg coming into a quick coaster in the rain a few months ago and i fell into the seat and almost ate crap big time--i still have no clue how i saved it but i did.

Re: Stuntin in the rain...

i love it in the rain...you just gotta use less throttle before you clutch it or the tire will break loose

Re: Stuntin in the rain...

Well today is still looking sunny...hopefully I can get out for a few hours tonight. The good thing about New Orleans is there's a ton of open parking lots from busnesses that got destroyed from Katrina. Also, there really isn't a ton of cops around here either...FTP!!

Re: Stuntin in the rain...

It's raining here right now, and I'm tempted. I will pass though cuz I tried it once and I hate it (pegs = slippery). Tires will spin a lot. It's a good time to work on your skitching though cuz your feet can slide so you won't grip and bail and you can ski totally off the bike. Tomorrow should be nice so I'll wait...

Yeah, there's a team here in New Orleans called Outkast. I have met three guys on here, but haven't met up and rode with them in person yet. I've only moved here about 3 months ago.

Well wouldn't you know it, I'm about to leave work and the clouds are rollin in again...I'm goin tonight no matter what, I'll let you all know how it went if I'm not in the hospital or whatever. Thanks for everyone's responce.
