ah i think you dont use the ram air anymore.......it looks like the stunt stay just holds the upper and gauges and you get rid of the ramair duct.maybe im wrong.

I'm interested in 1 for my stunt bike and 1 for my street bike, but I don't want to hack up my street bike at all if I don't have to.
You can mount it without drilling any holes or cutting anything, but I highly reccomend drilling the 3 holes in the top of your headlight like the instructions will tell you to. Im sure you already know that the only two OEM tabs that support the headlight rip off very easily, then you have nothing supporting it. My stay has 3 extra mounting points that you have to drill 1/4" holes for, one bolt actually goes inside the hedlight and is very hard to install. I think most people will not have the patience for that one but even just the 2 extra mounts make a big difference in how long headlights and uppers last for me. These new mounts also allow you to mount a headlight that already has the 2 OEM mounts broken off.....

Other than that its your choice if you want to chop your windscreen or not, I prefer them cut short.

And the ram air duct is removed and doesnt make a differece(at least I cant feel one), if your lucky and havent already broken that you can easily get $50+ for that aswell as $50+ for your OEM guage stay...

GEN2 03-04 636 stay installed:YEAH These things are ready to be produced, soon as I see some serious intrest I'll dump my money into them and I'll have them ready to ship within 2 weeks....And Ive found a company with a larger waterjet machine so I'll be doing runs of 25 pcs instead of 17, as they can fit a larger sheet on their machine......

And I just had an F4i dropped off to me last night for prototyping, thank you Wheelieking I should have the prototype for that ready in the next week or so, just have to turn the ideas in my head into real parts Then its up to my friend Wheelieking to crash test it I didnt think the OEM F4i stay was so crap, They mixed 1 part steel with one part aluminum and it still falls apart....

I was able to stick to my price of $250, I was tying for 250-300....Only problem is I dont want to get stuck with all my money dumped into these things, so I want to have atleast enough sold to pay for the materials before I make them.......Its going to cost me a few thousand dollars just to have the parts waterjet cut and for welding.....So I need to have some presold to help me with the cost of producing them, Im not a company just a guy that made one for himself and people are askin me to make more. My friend bought a ZX600RR to stunt and it came without a fairing stay, so he needed one and it was the perfect time for me to design a producion model. Then Ive got my team member Wheelieking whos breaking OEM F4i stays everyday and begging me to make one for his bike, because he sees how many hits my stays take......

So like I said I need a list of who seriously wants one, send me your shipping address so I can quote you for shipping and you can Paypal me. Then 1- 2 weeks max from then I'll have your stay ready to ship...... Right now Ive put the 636 stay on the back burner waiting for some serious intrest and started designing the F4i stay, but I can easily have 25 stays made within 2 weeks time.....

I could make one for any bike I can get my hands on, unfortunatly I dont know anyone that has a 929....I could post on local message boards to rent or borrow one but if I have to pay for that its not worth it for me......

I just finished designing the F4i stay, it should be welded up by the weekend. Then Im either going to start on the 05-06 636 or the Honda 600RR, I can also get a 954 in here but Im not sure if I should even bother with that.....

Re: Starting production of my 636 stunt stay, need some feedback

F4i prototype stunt stay V1.0 sneak peak..........Just finished the design and cut it out of wood to test fit, it fits good and even though its only wood it supports the headlight much better already as Ive made the stay to hold the underside of the headlight. So off the drawings go tommorrow to the waterjet cutter, and I should have one welded up for my buddy WheelieKing to test this weekend...Let me know what you think.

Damn, that 03-04 stunt stay is ILL looking...the only thing I wonder is will the aluminum be more prone to cracking then the steel ones that 905 makes?

I had the 905 prior to making mine, my V2 is better and stronger than my V1 and my V1 blew the 905 away in terms of how well it worked to save me parts. The problems I had with the 905 are the plate was too thin and it would shift left and right, it uesd the OEM guage stay and that would crack very easy and its expensive, and it didnt support the headlight any more then the stock one. My V1 would bend eventually after crashing hard and looping a few endos it cracked a weld or 2, but I would just bend it back and reweld it. I used it for a whole season and untill I made the V2, and my V2 is stronger and Ive tried to elminate all its weakness...

Ive sold one of the 2 samples I made to varman on here because he actually PM'd me his address like I asked, and made it clear he wanted one. Hopefully he likes it and does a little review on it for me, them maybe the intrest will pick up and I can go ahead and make a batch....All I really need is to presell about 8 of em, then I could have them ready for ya within 2 weeks..

Thanks for all the coments

Theres a big difference between fabricating one and producing 25 that are exactly the same...I understand what your saying but I got a POS stay for $250, when what I wanted is what I make....At that time Id pay more but it wasnt even out there
