Re: Roadrash Sucks...
not much of a great story, im retarded!
i changed my oil the other day and apparently didnt tighten the oil drain plug enough. rode for all of 10minutes until the plug fell out and dumped all the oil into the belly pan of the bike, i was rippen around the lot, went to flip a ***** dumped all the oil out and over the rear tire. instant low side.
i havent refilled the bike yet, or put a new drain plug on yet, but im pretty sure (hopin) its fine.. bike only ran for around 10 seconds with low oil.

Re: Roadrash Sucks...
thats a rough lesson to learn.. Im lucky the ONLY time i crash bad is when i wear gear.. which is almost never.. But for some reason when i have the gear on i crash so i dont wear it and im fine.. I think it gets in my way so i can't bail out fast or whatever, and when im wearing gear i act stupid cuz i think im "safe" .. right....

Re: Roadrash Sucks...
3m duoderm pads. I swear by them. make sure its clean and dry before you put them on. use "wound cleanser" 0.9% sodium chloride solution) to clean the wound, not peroxide. the solution doesnt burn but still does the job. The idea is to not traumatize the wound more than it already has been. I had rash from last weekend. i put the pads on an open area of rash (calf) and i have brand new skin and its all healed up whereas rash on joints (kneecap/elbows) where i couldnt keep a pad on is still thickly scabbed. Difference is night and day.
i bought 5 extra duoderm pads and cover bandage jsut in case... cause i know ill need them again!
