sprocket question

How big of a sprocket on the rear would you guys recommend running for a daily rider. I already got one tooth down in the front and i was thinking about going up 4 in the rear but I dont want to only be able to go 90mph at top speed. Any input would be great
thanks, Matt

Re: sprocket question

on what bike? the Z1000 you have in your profile or something different, how many teeth is stock? Do you want to hit the lots hard and ride on the street or just wheelie a bit easier on the street?

Re: sprocket question

if you want to still go fast dont put a sprocket on it. end of story..... only goin up a couple in back is pointless

Re: sprocket question

and if you are having trouble wheelying that z1000, its not the bike that can't get it up. Gearing will just make it harder to prefect but easier to pow pow power it up

Re: sprocket question

yeah its the Z1000, and thanks f4stunna. Yeah im not sure what i am doing wrong. its a 42 stock tooth, and wheelie a bit easier would be nice. It seems like I cant just smack the throttle at 5000 and get a nice tall wheelie, it only comes up about a foot.

Re: sprocket question

didnt want to wreck my clutch, beside the bike has enough power to lift itself on its own. the problem is within me i guess, dont want to wreck a new bike.
