Re: FI clip ons V.S. Vorteck?????

wood craft 7* angle -7*fliped over= just right

fi 0* right side up, 0*up side down= not enough

vortex 11* or -11* when fliped over= to much

you have to take in count the fork angle the more the clipons are turned in (towards stock) the more down angle they will pick up.

if you want to have your clipons still pulled in some go with the woodcrafts because when you flip them over they will be 0* down angle. best for fairing bikes for clearence reasons.

if your going to push them straight out go with the FI's that will give you 0* down angle that way.

this is all my 2cent i got to offer hope any of this rambling helps

Re: FI clip ons V.S. Vorteck?????

i tryed the FIs and didnt like the zero angle..id rather have them up or down not straight out..the woodcrafts and vortexs feel good angled up..i like the black fork clamps on the woodcrafts but the vortexs mount looks stronger..go with what you want.

Ive always used the vortex in the normal turned down angle.. worked fine. Just changed to the FI 0 degree to try em out. only rode once with em so far but already can say i like em.

also the new vortex are 7degree the older ones are 10degree..

Re: FI clip ons V.S. Vorteck?????

I got the FI 0 Degree bars. Took one stocker off and held it in place. Thought it looked too low, so I wasn't going to use them. Then, Woods came over with them on his new Triumph 675 and when I sat on the bike they felt really good.....So, what the hey, I grabbed the box and put them on my bike and was really surprised at how good they feel. The thing is, stock clipons rise up, then drop down. The 0 Degree bars TECHNICALLY aren't any lower (overall) than the stock bars, but lack the rise and angle.....So, I put them on in relatively the stock position (forward about an inch) and pulled them out so they were 1.5" longer than the stock bars...Super nice and a little bit more leverage. Plus, that black is Sooooooooo sexy. I really can't stand raw aluminum like it fell off the CNC and into a box like most clipons.

Had FI's on all season and love them. Haven't tried the others but flipping them looks like they would put your hands in odd positions.

you flip the clip on mounts not the tubes so they point up instead of down

Re: FI clip ons V.S. Vorteck?????

woodcrafts also have the 2 piece mount so if you had to change on for some reason you wouldnt have to take off the stablizer and top tripple.

i think woodcraft should sponsor me. (cough cough) or maybe just pay me everytime i post something good about them. lol

on a real note i only post things about product i use because i love the way they work and belive in them. i wouldnt tell you to spend money on something that i didnt belive was the best out. also i wouldnt take a sponsorship from some company that was putting out sub par product just to get free **** or to say i have sponsor like i belive many people do. if you really love a product it will show.

i dont want to say to much i have been warned enough on here about advertising for companies that i dont have a thing to gain from but just belive in. if you read this thanks for your time now im out.
