learnthe foot brake first.. when it all started there was no hand brakes or gearing or cages.. it is possible.. it talkes mad time and PRACTICE PRACTICE!! i was the same way and slowley im gettin the foot brake.. learn your bike simple.. know where you can bring it right up to bp with out a brake then practice the brake.. hope this helps.

Ride your friernds fiddy and get brake control DOWN on it
I stunted a fiddy for a LONG time before hopping on a big bike.. Took me only a few days from going from ppppower wheelies for 30 feet, to balance point wheelies for miles
