Hey Kevin,
Stock front 60 rear :YEAH you wont be going 100mph much but its great for slow stuff and I can still go 75mph without fear of blowing my engine

Re: F4i Sprocket Choice??

i went up 14 in the rear. good thing too since a friend wrecked my f4i the spocket now doubles as a nice pizza pan im not sure what my 02 f4i topped out at but it threw my spedo off by like 14mph. up 14 was insane but it was pretty cool for learning to use the bar. i'll never go that big again tho. just a personal preference.

Re: F4i Sprocket Choice??

Hi,

I also whants to replace my stock sprockets.
in that case I have a question, what is beter for engine?
I know, that -1front aprox. equals +3rear, so what is better to have small front like 14/52 or big front like 16/58 with almost same effect?

Re: F4i Sprocket Choice??

^bigger front is better for your chain, so keeping a stock front and getting a bigger rear will let it last longer.

I got +11 rear and stock front. You can still hit the highway, but you'll be high rpm's in 6th and cars will pass you. I'm thinking of going +1 up front to get a little more top end (cheaper than a new smaller rear)

Re: F4i Sprocket Choice??

I had +10 on my old f4i and it work'd good .. high RPM"s on the interstate but around town (60mph or slower) it was fine.

60mph to slow for me in town sometime I reach 200+ km/h, where it's possible
so, it looks like I need not too big rear...

Re: F4i Sprocket Choice??

Hm...
I have changed air filter and sparks.
It turns to absolutly different bike.
Now it goes from power without any problems
but I still cant get front end up from clutch on 2nd gear,
is it possible with stock sprockets or I should change them?

I realy don't understand how to do it.
I'm tried with clutch on 2nd, but it comes up only for 10-20 cm.
how much rpm should be when i Start pulling clutch, how much should be, when i throw it?

Pull the clutch in, bounce it off the rev limiter and dump the clutch, it will come up :D
