Dirtbike Bar stoppies = New Class

Dirtbike Bar stoppies = New Class
Bottom line is that they not even in the same category as regular clip ons. I feel a good analogy would be dirtbike bar stoppies vs. regular stoppies is like nth highchairs with a handbrake vs. nth highchairs without.
I'd say it makes stoppies a minimum of 50% easier and is totally unfair to put them in the same class.
I honestly would feel bad winning they were so easy compared to my regular bike.
You guys with bars that have changed from stock know this is true
I think King of the South later this year or 2007 will be separated or something changed.
What do you guys think?

Re: Dirtbike Bar stoppies = New Class
can't start seperating classes, cause then you would have to do a 600 DB class, a Clip on 600 class and an open DB class, and an open clip on class. and then you would have to determine what class you would put the guys in that are riding clips ons turned out like dirt bars. Then you would have to have a handbrake indiviual class and a non handbrake individual class in both pros and amatures............and you would also have to fight with the guys that have 636s cause they are not gonna wanna ride in the open class.........but there bikes are over 600cc's so they wouldn't be able to run in the 600 class..........

sooo....if we shouldn't separate classes should there be a 50% pay cut???

Re: Dirtbike Bar stoppies = New Class
lets just ban dirtbike bars......the general public doesn't even recognize a bike with dirtbike bars as a STREETBIKE......but what the hell do i know anymore.

Who cares - if ya wanna win and its easier with db bars than get some, its the same as with gearing a while back - ppl thought it was unfair, now its just the norm. point is if ya wanna win get with the program!!

Yes, Frank is definately the one to blame for this
Ando - I care because I know the advantage of having them in a stoppie comp is ridiculous, and I'm looking for feedback for future competitions I host.
Theis, Mark, Debo, and others - I'm not *****in about what I feel it's what I know, and this really doesn't apply to me at all....I'm trying to state the obvious and am looking for opinions/ideas for future comps.......I'm not really concerned with the whole "Step up or get left behind" thing b/c I'm referencing stoppies only, and the last 20 shows I've done I haven't been able to roll over 300ft so I really don't need them....if I was strictly comp and based my monthly bills off riding you can bet the 929 would have them on by the weekend
off to class, I may be able to sneak on here in a few.....

Re: Dirtbike Bar stoppies = New Class
Maybe there should be a stock class and a modified class....?
I definitely give more props for tricks performed on a full fairing, normal bars, no hb, stock geared bike!
At the same time, I would not want to limit anyone and enjoy all the tricks that require mods as well.
If you are a true contender for longest endo, then to compete with the big boys, perhaps you need to have a 1000 with stock gearing, dirtbike bars, weighted in the front with custom front suspension.
Is this fair to the well rouded stunter with a more stock setup? I don't know. That's why I say maybe there should be classes like in drag racing and other sports.
Not broken down to every little category, but maybe to stock/modified or stock/mild/wild...could make it more interesting?
Not every good stunter can jump on a random stock (or modified) bike and rock it like their own!

Re: Dirtbike Bar stoppies = New Class
Yeah just for the endo comp you could have stock and modified bracket I guess but I don't know how that would affect payouts. Since you would have 2 winners instead of one
