RE: Peg on swingarm

I've seen some people put what looks like a bmx peg by the rear tire. Is that what it is, just a custom fitted bmx peg, or is that a peg meant for motorcycle?

on a fiddy or big bike? It might be a rear spool for a stand or they have swing arm sliders

Re: Peg on swingarm

For a regular street bike. I have a 929, I've seen them on them before. Kinda like the ones for freestyling on a bmx bike. They look like the the thick chrome ones.

Re: Peg on swingarm

i'm pretty sure they use a hallow rear wheel axle, and either thread it so they can bolt the peg on, or have a second shaft inside the axle to which both pegs bolt onto

I don't know why those would be there. I've seen the ones on the front but not the rear.

So you wont scratch up youre swingarm when you crash. Saves probally your pegs also when going down as the cage and rear sliders is the only thing touching the ground. Depends also how big it is.

I just put a set on......StarBoyz star shaped axle sliders:YEAH ....only purpose is for crashing, can't imagine trying to use it as a peg to stand on....unless you wanted to have a 5th person standing on it to ride wheelies with that many people

My hope is to keep the pegs from touching since I have snapped off 4 right rearsets and one left rearset this year

like what????

sweet *** pic though!

I have a 905 cage right now.........but me and the yellow guy from Controlled Insanity(a.k.a. Andy Clem) are working on a new cage and 12 bar.......12 bar is gonna be removeable so I can take it off easily for rolling endoes....less weight on the back to pick up endoes faster AND more importantly no hunk of STEEL flying towards my head and neck!!!!!!!!

Re: Peg on swingarm

Just like the one's in that pic. Those look like the bmx pegs. Are those made to fit on the swingarm or do people just bolt them on with like a threaded rod that goes through the swingarm?
