from what I can guess, the Kawi and Honda subframe (f4i and 636) are pieces of square tubing, welded and bolted together. that makes it strong. Suzuki (in weight savings) used garbage pot metal cast in the shape they needed, which is decent for what the bike was intended for.

i try to stay away from running a bar from the pass peg to rearset.ive seen tabs break and ive seen bars bend/warp from hitting the factory swingarm reinforcement after doing stoppies.

They hold up very good, they are steel!! But you still have to reinforce them somewhere because if you hit it hard you will brake your frame tabs. Best thing I recommend is a piece of steel going from 12 bar to swingarm pivot bolt.

Re: Garbage Subframe!!!!!

the 02 600 body style doesnt have the same problem as the newer. But it does have different problems. Like the subframe tabs and the frame tabs can and will break. As well as the frames crack pretty easily from repetitive endoes and wheelies. But all in all its a good bike, I learned on a 03 750. I think the price for that bike is a little high if you plan on using it primarily for a stunt bike though. Either way good luck!!

Re: Garbage Subframe!!!!!

for the subframe tabs, you can weld a block of aluminum behind the mounting points and have the bolts run through it to make it stronger
