i dont like how the cage IS going to bend into the frame. EVERY 1st gen powers did, the second gen will too. f something thats gonna break or **** up a frame. i'd rather have a cage give than preventing me from taking out my motor...

Re: 2nd gen powers cage f4i pics??

I'd like to see pics of the left side. does it go up from the mount to the cage so the cage presses against the main spar of the frame like the right side? on my 900 only the right side is like that.

the main spar of the frame is the strongest point on the bike. if you want, wedge a piece of rubber between the cage and the frame and you're golden. the first gen powers put the impact energy into the weird hoops that f4is have on their frames. those I can see bending in...the main spar is not going ANYWHERE.

and I think doodle might be just a little miffed cause he realizes maybe he didn't get the best cage for an f4i it's all right buddy the sick cages are supposed to be really good to

Re: 2nd gen powers cage f4i pics??

its the same as the right side identical(sp)

i think half of the problems with the 1gen cages bending in the hoops were people didnt put the factory spacers back between the motor and the frame. i have seen many f4i oweners missing them.

even with the spacers there it still happened. but thats why powers made the new one. and they did real real good with em. im loving mine man.

if you need a cage get a powers !!

i think that the new powers cage is the best cage made for a f4i hands down!

Re: 2nd gen powers cage f4i pics??

The 1st gen was flawed...bending those loops on the frame...this 2nd gen reminds me of the 900RR one kinda...moving the slider to sit on the frame...yea its possible that it may hurt the frame...but unlikely since it also has that plate to disperse the force from a drop.
