Ya know what works good from what I've heard? Rhino-lining or a similar product. It's the spray-on truck bed liner stuff, that's hard black plastic and textured. You can have your tank coated in that ****, and you'll stick like glue!

Re: Alternative to dented tank

Sk8board griptape doesen't rip my pants... it works fine. I have that stuff stuck all over my bike, but I might try the surf stuff on the tank cuz it looks a little more forgiving

Re: Alternative to dented tank

yeah, come to think of it, Rhino Lining is slippery and hard, not soft and grippy.

cause there are more than one reason for denting the tank. yes it holds you in for on the tank stuff. It ALSO lowers the tank HEIGHT! How does that help? well it makes the clipons feel higher, making spreaders and steeping on the tank easier!

It's grippy for your feet! I had it on my last tank. It was a little better than a dented tank with nothing on it but it wouldn't hold your *** on there very well wearing jeans.

Just ordered one of these for my new painted/dented tank. www.thesurfdepot.com

Stuff looks good. I hope it works..
