so.. I'm at the point where I use a lot of throttle and A LOT of rear brake... I can't scrape consistantly.. and i'm thinking it's because i'm on the brake too hard... and too much...
I rode an f4i last weekend.. and I freaking loved it.. that bike was soo much more forgiving... and Massive engine brake.. I barely was on the rear brake at all..
come back home.. and ride my gixxer again.. and I almost ate **** because it didn't have any engine brake... I'm 1 down and 9 up on the gixxer...
05 600...
now since I realized I gotta use more brake again... my **** was passed boiling point in a matter of 10 mins... if that.... and completely went mushy on me... this is the 3rd time my brakes have gone out on me... the first time it went out... I figured it was the brake pads... they were mirrored like , I think they were double H or something... so I put like ceramic ones on? can't remember what brand, BUT those bad boys went out on me too... and now they get mushy.. and then stiff.. then musy and then nothing at all.. and then back to stiff... it's freaking annoying... I just bought some racing dot4 brake fluid.. haven't replaced it out yet though..
cause... here is my debate... gear it more... so i have engine brake to play with instead... or change to braided brake lines... (in which I've heard good and bad things about changing)
what do you suggest?

Re: Rear Brake...
I'm geared something like 3 down and 6 up which is the same as 15 up in the rear. i use stock everything and it works fine .......the problem u prolly have is not clutching up to bp fast enough. this i think is important cause at this point u don't know how to slow your wheelies down yet. clutch it up and find the idle. just when u think your front end is high enough go back a little more cause its not. just forget about scrapping until u can ride the idle, then that will come naturally. i ride an 04 750 BTW.....gixxers are twitchy compared to other bikes when your in a wheelie your bike is more twitchy the higher u are in rpm's...so try and keep them as low as possible.
i don't know it all by any means, but i'm just going from what i have noticed on my own.
