Re: chrome wheels
i agree with the wipe them off after every ride cause the brake dust will it the chrome no doubt,or you can just stop by droppin your gears wile comin up to lights that will lower the break dust on your wheels.

no one is goin to see you pass from the other side of the street and be like "DAMN YOU SEE HIS WHEELS?... THEY ARE DUSTY"... ***** just ride the damn bike, and clean it up when you go home. its a bike, not a $200,000.00 chain

Re: chrome wheels
Here's how I prevent brake dust on my wheels at least when I had the Ford Expedition....
First thing's first wash the wheeles with Meguiar's NXT Car Wash and then use Viengar to break down whatever you may have it on it, and then follow with another wash using NXT.
Then I recommend washing the wheeles once more using Prestone Wheel Cleaner with Brake Dust Repellent.... Finally once dry and looking great, You need to start working on protective barriers.
You don't have to but now would be a good time to apply Meguiar's NXT All Metal Polish which serves as an invisibile barrier and protects against corrision to the chrome, etc and also provdies a really good shine. Then apply Michelin Brake Dust Repellent followed by last but not least a good quality layer of wax, Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax.... Layer the wax if you want, I had four layers of wax on my trucks rims.
