I paid Jeff on March 6th for a round that he told me would take no longer than 3 weeks to get. It's been over 4 and I've heard nothing.

Yea, I don't mind waiting longer than normal for a good product, but Jeff shouldn't say that he will ship it tomorrow when "tomorrow" ends up being a 3 weeks later. If it's going to be delivered later than promised, a follow-up email would be nice, too.

Got my cage finally. Jeff was really backed up. Thing is ****in' aweseome. Here are some pics of it on my bike. Definitely worth the money and the wait. Go buy yourself an MXD cage if you haven't already.

I originally had an FI cage on my bike, too. It was a little much for street riding (not to mention it rattled/vibrated at certain RPMs).

Re: What's up with MXD Cages?

i dont see how that cage would save anything...looks like your clip ons would be gone, as well as you stator cover.

maybe its jst the angle.

I crashed at 40-50mph with just Freestyle Ingenuity frame savers on and besides a tweaked handle bar & road rash on the tank and rear fairings, the only thing that broke was my engine mount (1997 900RR). True, this cage might not be as sturdy as a full cage, but it will protect the main compenents ($$) of the bike. It's called a track/street cage. It sticks out as much as my FI cage did. Basically it's an extended framesaver with a re-enforcement bar. Full cages like my old FI one **** for street riding. (Which is why i took off the bottom loop and just kept the frame savers on.) They drag around sharp corners which isn't that safe. (Trust me, i looped out in an intersection once ) But i still wanted something a little better than just your typical framesaver setup. This is the best of both worlds IMO: the ability to take realtively sharp corners and cheap insurance for your bike.
