F I cage handling

Anybody experience how low you can corner with new styl F I cage? Just put the new design on the ol 929 and curious how low I can get on those steep curves If I "had to" if you know what I mean. Just dont wanna find out the hard way.

Re: F I cage handling

you'll be good regardless, me and kctony have 905 cages and have taken corners scraping the cage periodically around the corner........no problems as long as the pavement is smooth and you don't freak out when it hits

I was wondering cus there may be a situation where I am out riding that I need to take a corner hard or with a group that halls a$$ all the time and hits curves when I'm unexpecting it then I'm outta luck . Cant exactly pull over, take it off, and put it under the rear seat. When it gets warmer out I'll have a couple friends help lower it to the ground slowly to see how far down it goes before it touches. I was just wondering for about all you running the F I Cage How low you have gotten in the corners. It almost looks like you drag a knee or footpeg before it'll touch.

Re: F I cage handling

i got one on my r1 and me and some friends tilted it cause we wondered the same thing and it went down far.but at the same time i don't know how it will do under riding conditions like for example bumps while in full lean.

Re: F I cage handling

I Bought the cage cus my bike is so clean and I like to wheelie and dont plan in laying it down but if i do the cage will save me alot of money. I love corners to but dot drag my knee or anything. We have a 30mph Circle curve around here it is a junction for two highways and there are 4 loops you can hit loop after loop at about 70mph. a lot of fun and would love to be able to do that without taking the loop off. But nonetheless If I had to hit corners...could I? About the time I take the loop if will be the time I go too far, hit sand or oil, or something and mess my **** up.. By the way How many riders from Michigan possibly Grand Rapids area?

Re: F I cage handling

any type of stunt cage WILL hit in corners if you are riding fast enough. ive scraped a 905 & MXD on a gsxr & a FI on my old f4i. people can scrape plastics so you can scrape the cage.
