Got Lucky

I was riding at my spot today, doing endos for about an hour non-stop. then I do a wheelie, set down, and my right clip on snapped off. Its hanging by its brake/throttle lines. It was wierd i set down the wheelie pretty easy at like 20 mph, and it just snapped off, im like wtf, didnt crash though, thank god it didnt happen on an endo, i would have been toast.....Luckily my spot is like 500 yards from my place, so i just drove back holding the throttle in my right, and steering with my left, hahah.

Re: Got Lucky

i had the same thing happen on my 01 R6. set it down from a little power whoolie and snap! only it was the clutch side and my helmet kept me from eating the tank/windsheild. i was about 5 miles from home, but made it back fine

Re: Got Lucky

yep im getting aftermarket now. I am looking for an f4i, cant seem to find a salvaged one for a good price, looking for under 3 gs. yeah im lucky about my spot, I run a hotel and live on property, and there is a golf course here that is owned by the same company, the access road is paved and is private, gated on both ends, so the popo cant **** with me, its great. Once the course is open for the season I can only ride at night, once the golfers are gone. I ride alone so I just tell the front desk when im going out, and if i dont check in every hour, send someone to look for me, that way if i go down hard, I know i will lay there for an hour max!!! works out pretty good.

Re: Got Lucky

i had my left clipon break after setting mine down from a sitdown coaster but i was going pretty slow when it let it down so i didnt wreck...i thought i t was just from crashing it and it got weak.

looks like its time for aftermarket!

Re: Got Lucky

NOTE TO ALL 01/02 R6 OWNERS: REPLACE YOUR STOCK CLIPONS FOR AFTERMARKET ONES. IF IT HASN'T SNAPPED ON YOU YET IT WILL!!!

I had an 02 r6 and that shi7 broke on me 3x! I was told 03 and up were stronger. got rid of the r6 for an f4i :YEAH
