Heres how I learned it, took about 20 minutes:

Set idle at 1000 do a seat stander. We'll assume you have seat standers, throttle control, and general brake control on lock already.
Slow it down just like you're gonna do merk steps, but instead of jumping off the back, grab some brake.
Do that like 5-10 times to get a feel for how hard to squeeze the brake.
Now turn your idle up to 1200 and do it another 5 times
Now turn it up to 1400 and do it another 5 times
Keep increasing it like that and you'll be catching the idle in a matter of minutes.

im finding it really hard to use mine! but i get pissed and then i stick to what i know ! i have to try harder and try a day of just hb! also spend time getting the set up right!

i don't have em all that great either but they are coming along better n better every day i ride! camera missed my good circle's.. gearing comes in at the end of this week! hopfully -1+2 will give me that tiny bit more of play.

 

Seat standers are the easiest wheelies there are. That should be one of the first things to learn.

 

ever since i learnd to use the rear brake i have alot of trouble not covering it... also the switch over from clutching it up to covering the HB is gonna be hard for me with the ASV and carbon fiber nuckle coverd gloves... not much room.

 

i have a 03 gsxr750 i had been spending last year on a 50cc and then a ttr125 i have been in the lot with the 750 bout 5 months and havent been hurt bad but the bike has 5 cracks in the frame! ss kinda hard 4 me it takes off so fast but i have only done a few. im having tons of fun :YEAH me and a few friends are on the texas riders having fun vid..

 

+1 letting go of the foot is hard for me but im sure it will come with some practice

 

Get the Icon gloves. Those things are the best investment I have made yet.

 

Chop your asv down too... get it so that you can fit one finger on... then you'll have plenty of room to cover and use the brake w/ the middle finger.

I'm just learnin it too and it is very awkward in that im so used to the clutch... so sometimes I grab brake when i'm tryin to grab clutch. Seems like it's one of those things thats gonna just take time to get used to.

from what i have read the set up is were its at! i got a front master from a honda and it feels lots better i should cut the asv little more i think...

 

did u run ur clutch cable from right to left ? on my gsxr the cable is on the left side with a little clip. some say get longer cable and make it go out then over front stay? did that make sence? im new to all this!

 

i have my cable the same way it was from the factory.

 

The tighter you loop a clutch cable, the more it binds, and the harder it is to pull the lever........unless you go to a hydrolic set up like I did. Lever pull is as easy/ maybe easier as a stock cable with a Raptor lever and Moose reduction box.

 

holy **** u grind alot away on ur ASV perch for that clearence? to go under the banjo bolt that far? i never though of doing that... and theres no way in hell i could pull my clutch in with 1 finger.. its ran correctly n lubed but no way in hell, when i clutch shiiit up i slip my fingers off the clutch insted of letting them out.

 

I think you all should start off leaning seat standers without a HB, to me learing it with it would be like trying to 12 without leaning balance point wheelies first. Basically you have no throttle control and you'll use too much HB because of that.....

Thats how i learned I started rocking them without one getting used to the engine break, people at the spot started asking if I have a HB cause I was getting real slow and high. I got a Hb after I let one get away from me and it only took a day or 2 to adapt to it....

After with HB alowed me to get the legs nice and straight becaue you dont need to use them as much to control height, but the height is almost the same....
