Scotts or GPR Damper with DB Bars????

Has anyone figured out a way to run a Scotts or GPR damper along with dirtbike bars on a 954?

It looks to me as if the risers (that I purchased from FI) would get in the way, and that the body of the damper would hit the risers.

Am I stuck with a piston-style damper, like an Ohlins?

Thanks.

i think full throttle makes a riser/tripple that works with Scotts..

but it's pricey

Re: Scotts or GPR Damper with DB Bars????

Thanks for the responses. I'm definitely going with the Hyperpro set-up.

I'm picking up the 954 this afternoon, and already have a cage, db bars/risers, chain/sprockets and dented gas tank all ready to go. As soon as the weather gets back above 50, I'm gonna be out killin this *****.

Keith - I'll be back up for the C&I 5 premier fo sho, but if I make my way up there sooner, I'll be sure to hit you up 'bro!

Re: Scotts or GPR Damper with DB Bars????

only problem with the hyperpro, when you turn sharp the d.b. bars hit the damper.

rc5i upper triple cause they are flat and put the risers father apart so you can fit the dampner on

Re: Scotts or GPR Damper with DB Bars????

put the risers farther forward on the triple and the hyperpro shouldn't hit.......mine barely touches at all when the bars are full lock to the right....and doens't touch at all to the left.

those risers are as tall as the ones that were on my bike.............trust me, hyperpro damper and normal risers... mount them as far forward on your triple as possible(so it won't hit the bars on the damper).....you're golden

Got a nice Ohlins from a buddy for $250 and bolted that up without any problems.

Thanks for the input though.
