Re: rc51 stunted?
tell your friend to sell it and get something else..v-twins **** I got 03 sv1000 and it is garbage to stunt after like 5 seconds on idle the oil light comes on, I was gonna sell it then I wrecked it so I am stuck with it. It is a fun bike for the streets but not the lot

Re: rc51 stunted?
i dunno i'll have to agree i dont see alot of rc51s being stunted but then again after this weekend and seeing bmw's, triumphs, and harleys i kinda think you can stunt just about anything that has 2 wheels

Re: rc51 stunted?
the radiators are right underneath the plastic on each side..... nooo good when you drop it ... but their not bad wheelie bikes.... depends on how serious he wants to be 636 f4i if your serious

Re: rc51 stunted?
I have stunted an RC51 the balance point is so small they are really hard to stunt the radiators break alot almost every crash. as for stunting v twins they are great just different than the 4's but if you can wheelie an rc at the balance point everything else after that is easy.

Damn that's sick I bought a new RC51 in March of 2000 brand new. I stunted that ****er for 5 years and took it to a road race track. One of the baddest bikes I've had and ever made! I did sell it though, the cost is a lot to maintain. Now I have a 600F4I and a 929RR. Let me know how it goes.

Re: rc51 stunted?
My bud wasn't trying to get bp or nothing...just a simple wheelie (and he's really pretty good at them), but this one time it got away....this bike was only 2 months old at the time it was totaled. I guess going from the 929 to the RC51 powerbands was too much for him! You can't tell, but both rims and the frame were cracked. RC's cost way too much to replace as a stunter...get a 636...parts are much cheaper!! Or maybe (shudder) an F4I...they are everywhere!

Re: rc51 stunted?
Its very possible Stunt the RC but u better be ready 2 handle expensive parts. It's fun but too heavy to be serious stunter. fork seals bust all the time from stoppies. The power band is great, but idle is really sensitive for slow stuff. the balance point isn't hard to find. The V-twin motor is risky for oil starvation though. No Mechanical problems yet, i beat the **** out of it, bounce off the rev limiter. But this is too much of a pretty bike to stunt out so Thats why i just got a 929 for the fun stuff. Yeah, also they run pretty hot went ur stuntin around, and if u crash on the radiators... WOW$$$$$
If ur planning to go serious bout stuntin then i would say that there are better options, but if u want to stand out, make some sic sounds when ur in the air then go RC.

Re: rc51 stunted?
If you want to stunt a twin...the TL1000 is better suited though. You just have to run the oil a little low or it will puke it out on your tire! I don't know about slow stuff really, but one of my friends used to carry his all 6 gears until he had to put it down...stop light or something.

Re: rc51 stunted?
so true about the parts being expensive. There was this dude down here in boca. We'll call him "brian"(worked at don carters bowling alley) Anyway he always bragged to us that he was a master stunter and him and his uncle would put on stunt shows up in ohio and he could ride switchback and do nose to nose stoppies with his unc.but his R1 turbo(yea right!) was in storage in ohio. So my homeboy Nightlab got a brand new leftover 05'rc in jan. hangin' outside the alley with (the master stunter!) he talked lab into letting him ride the rc around the parking lot.1 loop around he made ok ,just one more loop dude? ok scccccrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaapppppppe. not even wheelieing or anything but it was drizzling a little wet $8500 later and 7 weeks in the shop. so much for the master stunter! luckily he had full coverage ,comprihensive ins. the stunt king paid him the $500 deductible and supposedly has to get knee surgery in ohio! bottom line don't let any dude who tells tall tales without a bike ride your ****!
