Thew goes for World Record
On April 11th at the Mid-American Motorplex, Thew from 10-96 will attempt to bring the Guiness World Record Stoppie to the U.S.
The Event: Friday, April 11th from 9am-3pm, I'll be on the newly resurfaced 1/4 mile track setting a new Guiness World Record for Longest Stoppie. From 4 till close I'll be hanging at Tim O'neill's Honda / Suzuki in Counsil Bluffs, Iowa.
Saturday, April 12th I'll be at the track hanging out and doing shows all day. At 4pm I'll be at Tim O'neill's doing promotions and hanging out. Sometime around 6, we're all going riding. Where to, no idea. When we're done riding American Dream Bar is having a big party / promotion with the track that we're all going to.
The Sponsors: Without these people, this wouldn't be happening.
Tim O'Neill's Honda / Suzuki
Teknic Leathers
Feroda Brakes
XSBA
Pirelli Tires
Stedman Motorsports
American Dream Bar
Lastly, I would like to thank Ken Abbott from XSBA for putting this all together.

The current record is held by Craig Jones, who pulled a 225 metre stoppie on a standard Buell Lightning
Other records that may be of interest...
Fastest wheelie over one kilometre: Dodge @ 136.9 mph ('Busa) [1]
Fastest run while sat backwards: Dave Coatse @ 151.7 mph (R1) [2]
Fastest run two-up while both sat backwards: Dave & Sandra Coatse @ 137.6 mph (R1) [2]
[1] The front wheel must be airbourne for the entire kilometre
[2] The average speed over a one kilometre run (not including run-up or braking)

The outright speed wheelie record's held be a guy from Stockholm. I can't remember his name or the exact speed, but it's just over 200mph on a turbo 'Busa IIRC. He's got a video out called Ghost Rider, where he screams through the rush hour traffic of Stockholm at speeds up to 190mph - including lane splitting at the same speed. He ain't gonna live for very long...

do u REALLY u think u could break 200 mph in a wheelie OG . like the last dude said the guy from ghost rider does it at a little over 200. i mean i aint hatin but 200 isnt slow. as for thew. i wouldnt put it past him to pull it off and i'll be rootin him on from here. so bring that record home for the U.S. thew.
