Re: Whats to like about Stuntwars?
The track does suck, facilities are disgusting and well you just have to live with it unfortunately. They do have a mud boggin pit though if you wanna gitter dun.
I must say that with the money they are making on admissions they could afford a better location. The fence around the track makes it difficult to see and well I don't know how much I trust those rickety wooden bleachers.
I have been going to all of the stuntwars/stuntfest/ XXX freestyle frenzy events locally since they started doing em.
Imho the state fairground location is better from a spectators point of view. The riding surface looks pretty flat, however I dunno how the location would hold up toa crowd of 15,000 people. Realize they were only renting out a small corner of the parking lot, so if they got a larger area it wouldnt be a problem. It would have to be about the same level as the lakeland dragstrip.
I think one of the problems may be that motorcycle events/stuntriding has a bad name to it. There was a latin day motorcycle event at lakeland dragstrip this past year where a wet t-shirt took place. The promoters got up on stage and kept increasing the prize amount to get the participants to show more. It was all over the news because one of the girls was under age and it was basically a strip show in front of kids as well as adults. The girls were getting completely naked and this was a family event. The event promoter was arrested, and they were giving the lakeland dragstrip manager/owners a hard time.
With that in mind, how many places would want a motorcycle event on their property?????
