IN our Town, we only have a few shops... Most of the them have their heads stuck up their asses. I usually just try to get **** through a High School Buddy that works at one of them.. The rest of the them can eat a ****.

thats pretty much my experience too. all the major shops in honolulu suck. i have given each a fair shot and have shitty stories for all.

most of all, the service ****in blows. and very limited selection. hidden charges, etc. one shop didnt even have small size helmets in stock, none.

No, I don't own a service book...who gives a f*ck? Don't need it for the simple sh*t I do on my own, if you do, you suck and need help. But if I wanted a service MANUAL, I could get one. I just do the simple stuff, and take it in for anything out of my league. And wooooo, I spelled "brakes" wrong...and you caught it. Sounds like you at least have your "Modern Vocabulary and You, How To Be An Internet Douche!" book handy. Seriously man, you seem to have issues, maybe you act like you're selling Ferrari's?

And I'm not trying to make some paper...I make money, and I do it through hard work. Not through screwing over the little guy because I can. Idiots at a shop charging two hours in labor to do what takes me less than one? Yeah, that's a rape attempt, and I don't get raped. But hey man, great way to prove you're one of the wrench monkeys I was talking about. PS...you ride with a loaded "gat", and you laugh at me or anything I say? LMFAO, "gat"...whatever loc-dog.

Now...this is what I hate about SL. It's become a lame *** site for sh*t talkers and "Better than You!"s

couldnt agree with you more. Where I work most of the time we bend over backwards to help people out and hook people up. Most shops go off of flat rate hours to do a job on a brand spankin new bike. The only reason to charge double is if the bike is fawked up(every screw is ****ed up,rusty, ect)I try like crazy not to get into it on SL, because its just so stupid. I bet if we met in person everything would be cool. I get frustrated when people bring in a bike and get pissed @ me cause have to charge them $60 in labor to mount and balance a rear tire on a sportbike.

Re: what do you like/dislike about your bike shop..

Too expensive. You have to take out a home equity loan to get anything done beyond brakes or tires. Screw that... I'll learn. And the guy that owns the local shop here is a complete tool. Won't deal on bikes, new or used. Tries to get $4500 for a used 600F2 for god's sake. He's got the personality of a wet dishrag so consequently the only people who will work there are the same way... makes you want to scream.

I agree with you Dave. These are the bear necessities. haha! I thought the one with a star was a given for a bike shop, but I guess.

Also, regarding the hookers: you just need to know how to talk to the ladies at the bike shop. They're even better because they don't charge. haha!

I'll tell you about my last experience at Sky Cycle. My buddy and I (both 954's) pulled up and parked in front of that big window they have with the sales desk on the inside. There was a Repsol right as you walk in the door, so I stopped to take a look at it. All four of the sales people were sitting there with their feet on the desk, and one of them makes the comment "So you guys are looking to step up to a big boy bike huh?"Ithoughtitwas a pretty dumb comment regardless, but is that the technique they use to get people to buy bikes? Like my bike made me feel inadequate next to the 1000rr or something.
I also asked how much the new ZX-10 was and their response was "probably more than the 'o5". Thanks guy, let me grab my checkbook.

Re: what do you like/dislike about your bike shop..

Theres lots of shops out here... what pisses me off is that they hire guys that are all into dirtbikes and know nothing about streetbikes when u go in for parts Today the guy at the shop told me i blew my fork seals from doing wheelies. i said "no" he said "yes, thats the only way they will blow for no reason" cmon now. And also what Z-unit said, they dont sponsor me

I found a new shop that is based on mainly dirtbikes but they can order street parts for me and i get them within 1-2 days. And its like 5 minutes from my house WoooWhoooo :YEAH
