As for the R1 itself, I like it as a stunter. Like I said the other guy on my team used the bike last summer, and no problems. Everyone says Yamaha's are delicate, but he never had any downtime. Only thing on the '02 to watch for is the birdcage. Its cast aluminum and it snaps, not bends. Use the 98-01, its steel.

The weld on the crossbar broke, and it was a quick and easy re-weld. Other than that, its still 100% straight. I just got the bike put together from parts. I might get the chance to ride it one last time this year, so I'll let you know how that 12 crash goes.

**** the plate Mike keeps his in his trunk hes got a slip but not real insurance Glens been riding his on the street with no plate all season....You know tha drill when they roll up we bounce.....
Were planning to go to Fl or Cali around Jan still trying to decide if were gonna ship the bikes up and fly or drive down with Mikes uncles trailer.....
Im supposed to work till 4 but I dont think I can stay here much longer Ive got 5 bikes in the storage room and the suns shining through the window burning a hole in my head.......Think you'll come out tonight?

Yah, I'll make sure I can get the truck. I don't even have the thing in my name yet, so I'm not to big on the street riding thing. I need some time to make false insurance papers etc...
