If we build it will you come?
So I've got the bankroll and a venue behind my desire to have a vegas based contest. The promoter/sponsor is hell bent on a date around the middle of May. For you East coast cats who will be participating in stuntwars we want you to show your face on the Western side as well. Some of the details are lose and very well may change but here is some of the work I've done so far.
Room packages from 20/30.00 per night, cheap spectator entry fee for the event if not included in the room package.
Rider entry fees and room packages for the weekend would be around 100 bucks give or take, less if you don't enter all 3 events.
Drink specials (1-3.00 per drink at the casino for people there for the event)
Cheap vendor food, it's our event and if they want to sell, damnit it will be cheap, no 7.00 hot dog bullshit.
Prize money is the best part
8K for the team event (no team stacking allowed, fair this time, details to follow)
2K endo
2K individual
I'm working on additional money and events. This is in the "what if, how can" stage right now, but I'm not blowing smoke up your ***, the money men and I are still hashing the rest of the details out. Please seriously consider the logistics of coming all the way to Nevada only 3 months after stuntwars. My goal is to have this be a worthwhile event for spectators to fly in for, considering flights are around 215 and the cheap rooms, if nothing else this will could be a nice excuse to visit vegas and catch a well produced stunt event at the same time.
I know there was another post similar to this a while back, this is not associated with it.
All said, is this something that you on the East Coast see as economically feasible event/trip?

yo, this is TEACH.
if you want peopel from afar to come (like the east coast), you need to put more money into the indiv. freestyle and pay deeper. it is going to be hard enoiugh to get there by myself, nevermind bringing a team-so i'm out of that comp. and i also think you are opening a can of worms with the no stacking business-what constitutes a 'team'?
anyways, more money in indiv and less money in the team event. i'd like to see you paying 5 or 6 deep and those guys being able tow alk a way with some loot after the trip.

Interesting points I will take into consideration. When I speak of team stacking.... I know who the top riders are and there wont be an Easts meets West team of old, if you will. Not to say that friends cant team up, but we all know an unfair advantage when we see it. Perhaps we push the money around a little, 4K individual and 6K team? The reason the team payout was planned to be so high was to help bring people over not discourage. There are only a choice few that have a shot at the individual, but as a team above average riders are capable of taking out those better if they practice with consideration to choreography. XFR and VO are great examples or teams that do well with a wide range of skills through the group. They work together and come up with interesting sets, I feel that regional riders are capable of linking up and creating a strong team. There is lots of time to change it all around, so please, keep the ideas rolling!

Re: If we build it will you come?
what we need is a promoter to make it a series ....like 7 events covering the north ,south, east ,and west your never going to discover new talent..its going to be the same riders winning..unless you give the riders with a budget a chance to shine......its not going to happen when the biggest events are in florida and vegas.....until then im keepin it underground for myself
not taking anything away from nicks plan,i just dont have the money and time to take off work for it
