So, if you take away a team ride or comp, who is going to cater to the Fans? You got a short time in individual and noone is going to waste there time doing high speed tricks or burnouts,Theyre going to be doing more slow technical tricks going by past events.
I agree with were the sport is going and the other sports dont have team event. They have something you dont though and it grabs peoples attention. They got big air to keep the fans on edge. As a Fan all the slow and technical tricks are fine and fun to watch but after a day of it, you become board. Thats why I think the team event should be kept, action for the Fans. You can have payouts less or just hire a couple of teams to put a show on.

Nick, The idea of having an event in LV sounds like a plan, people have been talking about wanting to have one there for years.....
Plan everything out good, and I think you'll have a hit on your hands..... pm me once you get everything figured out, so I can get it posted on the events page on my sites.....
Also, I would love to make a trip to vegas, never been there before, and sounds like a good time!

I have already wrote this event down in my planner so its on.
About the head to head stuff, it prolly the best idea for crowd participation. Plus it makes it exciting for the riders.

nick I'm going to call you when I figure something out...if you make it the weekend before or after AMA @ infineon we could have a nice little circuit going with big payout. We're finalizing some details for a $10k payout event at infineon during AMA weekend. That way we'll get EVERYONE to both from the east and whatnot too!

For you East coast cats who will be participating in stuntwars we want you to show your face on the Western side as well. Some of the details are lose and very well may change but here is some of the work I've done so far.
Room packages from 20/30.00 per night, cheap spectator entry fee for the event if not included in the room package.
Rider entry fees and room packages for the weekend would be around 100 bucks give or take, less if you don't enter all 3 events.
Drink specials (1-3.00 per drink at the casino for people there for the event)
Cheap vendor food, it's our event and if they want to sell, damnit it will be cheap, no 7.00 hot dog bullshit.
Prize money is the best part
8K for the team event (no team stacking allowed, fair this time, details to follow)
2K endo
2K individual
I'm working on additional money and events. This is in the "what if, how can" stage right now, but I'm not blowing smoke up your ***, the money men and I are still hashing the rest of the details out. Please seriously consider the logistics of coming all the way to Nevada only 3 months after stuntwars. My goal is to have this be a worthwhile event for spectators to fly in for, considering flights are around 215 and the cheap rooms, if nothing else this will could be a nice excuse to visit vegas and catch a well produced stunt event at the same time.
I know there was another post similar to this a while back, this is not associated with it.
All said, is this something that you on the East Coast see as economically feasible event/trip?

What about doing some like this. I think it would attract more people to want to be in the event cause they would have more chances of winning money. And only having 3 catagories would seem like a short show. What about something like this....
Categories:
Longest Endo - $1000 pay off
Circle Contest - $1000 pay off - 1 point per rotation, -3 pts each time front wheel touches the ground, 10 min time limit. Person with the most points win. If it's a tie, they go heads up, first one to drop the front end loses.
Best Trick - $1000 pay off - judged by 5 top riders that are not competing in this particular category.
Individual Freestyle - $2000 pay off - judged by 5 top riders that are not competing in this particular category.
Team Event - $5000 pay off - Judged by the crowd only
Just my but having the team event judged by the crowd would make the event a little more fair. That way if you took the 5 best technical stunters and put them on a team it doesn't neccesarily mean they will win. A team event should be more about who can put on a better show for the crowd. A team like Geared Up always puts on a good show by pleasing the crowd rather than doing the more difficult tricks. I think it will also incourage more teams to participate.

Re: If we build it will you come?
I've sat through a good amount of shows and I find that people can only sit on a bleacher for so long. I'm not too interested in a marathon show, something along the lines of a well organized production that will keep people stuck in the seats only leaving during the intermissions for vendors. I for one cant stand a circle contest, and thinking about watching more than 2min of circles let alone 10 may lose people, or so I would think. Now if we did a last man standing circle contest that would be another matter, but again, I'm interested in helping do some ground work for the "sport" not the traditional lineup of archaic events. So that cuts out the idea of crowd judging with the idea for set formats and standardization. The best trick contest has been a thought, but I wouldn't want to take payout away from other events so it's on the list of "I want to if I can get the money". If anything I want more money to dump into the endo competition.
