Re: Recommended Cage R6

i'd worry about gettin the r6 first

and if you do get a yamaha, DONT STUNT IT. not cuase you suck but yamaha's are grabage stuntbikes. they are made to be really fragile race bikes and dont hold up well to abuse.

other than that, if you get an mdx/racing 905 they dont have a hoop that goes under the bike like a FI does. and no problems.

but you already knew all that becuase your an attention *****.

Re: Recommended Cage R6

I wouldn't go with mxd or 905 if it's going to be on a street bike, i was out about a month ago on the street on my stunt bike, didn't even pay attention to what i was riding and tried taking a corner like i was on my rr, i dipped in pretty fast and my 905 scrapped and kicked the bike out from under me. If you insist on putting a cage on it fi is really the only way to go, the loop is removable so you can take it out whenever.
As for the diff, when you go down a cage will protect your case, covers, controls, pegs....everything a lot better. You can always go with extended sliders but they have two much leverage on your mounts and will rip off if you down hard.

Re: Recommended Cage R6

if its gonna be a bike that you ride on the street everyday and hardly stunt it, maybe wheelies and that's it or whatever, then dont get a full cage, they do reduce corbering clearance and can make you crash if you hit them in a corner! i hit my 905 back in the day on a gsxr 1000 and it was SCARY! the race slides look cool, definately won't hinder clearance, but i don't know how well they will protect. might not be any better than good sliders. You could go with a FI cage, and just run the extened sliders and then if you wanted to go stunt it for a day throw the loop on, which onlt takes 5 minutes.

Re: Recommended Cage R6

if u're not stunting it you don't need a cage.. judging from the amount of times you fall down, i guess riding it to work is like a stunt for you.. the race slides picture speaks for itself... it's a metal bar, with bolts... it's meant to hold up for low sides.. and sliding, but not a drop from 12.. get it, got it, good.....

dont' concern yourself with that, get the bike first

Re: Recommended Cage R6

Why are you putting a cage on a minty R6 when you'll have a 250 dedicated stunt bike?
