Long A$$ Wheelie's

I am sure this has been posted before, but I want to know how far you all can wheelie. I am talking on the street. See I have met people who say they can go 10+ miles which I believe, but I think there are only a few out there that can do it. 10 miles is one long @ss wheelie. Just say you do a 10+ mile wheelie at 60 mph thats 10mins up on one wheel. There are a lot of factors that come in to play, traffic, turns, cops. But here is the big one to me, how does someone go that long with out there hand falling asleep or just giving out on them. I find it best to do a standup for distance. So that means I am holding my self up one, two i have 60+ mph wind hitting me. After 2 miles my arm is burning and I don't have much throttle controll anymore. To me thats one bad a$$ forearm workout. So if you have any tricks you could tell me to get another 8+miles just like everyone says they can do, it would be helpful. Besides that lets here your longest, how fast you role them, and what kind of wheelie you are doing.

Re: Long A$$ Wheelie's

use the passenger peg. or get a HB and do SS becuase theirs no weight on your arms. (you dont need a hand brake but at 60mph i wouldnt be to comfortalble without one, when going for distance)

SS meaning spreaders right. Yeah I can go pretty far doing spreaders and i think i could do them the longest. But the problem is traffic and turns. I think if I found a 10 mile rd that was straight I might be able but i highly doubt it. That's one long *** way

Re: Long A$$ Wheelie's

I finally managed to steer a decent standup around a bend today for the first time while showing off for some random GS500 that was driving by. I was so proud of myself... I know not many ppl on here will care.. but yay for me!

Re: Long A$$ Wheelie's

the most i got is 1.6 miles on a stock geared '04 r6. I use third gear and bounce/clutch it up at 60 mph and hit BP around 72-76 mph (yes i check). The only thing that stops me is wind and traffic, not to mention most highways around me suck quality wise. Oh yeah and the rear wheel wobbles blow.

Re: Long A$$ Wheelie's

My longest recorded by my girlfriend in the car behind me was 4.5 miles, half a dozen good curves, and a shitload of big hills. 3rd gear seat stander, 636, -1+16, about 45mph, finger on the handbrake just in case. Next goal is about an 8 mile stretch the same way.

My record is 5,3 miles. It takes five and half minutes... So my average speed was about 55-60mph or something like that...

Re: Long A$$ Wheelie's

So what your saying is when you stand on your seat you put no pressure on your arms. I would think you still have the wind pushing on you.

Re: Long A$$ Wheelie's

My second wheelie of the day (every day) is either 1.2 miles or 3.2 miles, depending on the color of the traffic light in there. 3.2 is the farthest I think ive done. I do it in 2nd around 40 or 3rd around 60 on a stock f4i. I would love to go farther but theres no where good to do it around here.

Re: Long A$$ Wheelie's

there was a nice flat road in Illinois when I was there ehis summer. I think it was about 7 or 8 miles. my arms got tired or I could have gone farther. I don't know how long or the speed because I don't really care. it was geared stock then, could probably hold them up still for that distance in 4th or 5th gear but after a while it gets boring.

Re: Long A$$ Wheelie's

The last time I tried for distance, I racked up a little more than 4 miles, staggered stance at like 60 or 70 mph. Since I've learned to slow down and get some control, like no throttle handers, I'm a lot less tough on my arms, so I'm guessing if the need was there, I could probably go ten plus miles without too much trouble, but thats just a guess
